Nick Joyce was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and grew up outside of Boston, in the town of Westford. Rather than going into a long account of the past, let’s just share that his first word was “MORE.” This quest for more is what fuels Nick, and not in the modern societal context of more things, but at a much deeper level; more awareness, more experiences, more truth, more music, more challenges, more community, more love.
At 24 years old, he is already many things; an entrepreneur, a world-traveler, a certified community development and sustainability expert, an event production specialist, a musician, a writer, and a cultural creative. After completing a BBA in Management at the Isenberg School at UMass Amherst in just three years, he began his non-profit Drums For Development in April 2011. He is a member of Electrogenic, an art collective of creative, inspired, and conscious technicians that use their skills and talents to make positive influence, and a writer for Lost In Sound, an online electronic music magazine that brings readers to a new level of consciousness by submersing them in music scenes around the country.
Nick believes that life is a gift and that everything is possible. He believes that with this gift comes a responsibility to face our fears, relentlessly search for our passions, and subsequently lead a life that embodies these passions; helping to create a thriving and sustainable future for all. For Nick this means building conscious and creative community through local events and cross-cultural exchange. You are welcome to contact Nick here to share ideas and inspiration, find community and support, or for any other reason. We are all in this together!
